Pottery Classes

At Oxart Pottery we offer instruction in all areas of pottery to all levels of experience and ages in a fun and engaging way.  We are all inclusive at Oxart and welcome everyone of all abilities and diversities, providing a safe place for creative expression.
Master potter Ian McColl has been involved in the pottery industry for over 30 years and is a trained school teacher of over 20 years experience.  Ian loves to share his knowledge and is excited when people become as enthralled with clay work as he is.
Clare Shannon (who has recently joined out team at Taradale), trained with Ian and also has many years experience in pottery production and creation and is  a qualified school teacher.  Clare brings a bright nature to generate a fun environment for teaching both adults and children many of the skills required to create and be inspired with clay work.
Mercy McColl, being Ian's daughter, has grown up in a studio and you could say, that clay runs in her blood.  Mercy takes the fun and active children's classes at Darley and has a devout group of regulars that love coming to create in a very social and happy environment.  She would love you to join them!
Our team offers everyone the opportunity to engage in all that pottery can offer, this is paramount to the Oxart experience.
The Oxart studio is well equipped with several kilns, pottery wheels, slab roller, and other hand building tools. An all-inclusive price is also key to making the Oxart experience easier and more enjoyable.
Private class enquiries are welcome at Oxart- birthdays, family days or corporate team building – we can build a program to suit the needs of your group.
